Dr. Jeffrey Chew
Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Jeffrey Chew is a practicing orthopedic consultant at Farrer Park Hospital. His special interests are in managing arthritis, hip & knee joint replacements and he also manages sports injuries including ligament reconstructions. He was trained at the Mayo clinic in the USA. Currently he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Research Society, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon of the USA. Dr Chew has been instrumental in the use and promotion of robotics in the fields of joint replacement surgery in South East Asia. He is a Mako Trainer, and one of the first users of the Mako robot for total knee, total hip and partial knee replacement surgery.

 

Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan
Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan graduated from the National University of Singapore School of Medicine in 1992 and is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Parkway East Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital. He is a specialist in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and does mainly arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder. His sub specialty interest is in the management of cartilage lesions in the knee and ankle. In addition, he also has a special interest in the management of multiple ligament injuries of the knee and knee dislocations.
