Traveling to another country for medical treatment takes quite a bit of preparation. Our Foreign Patient Services and The Farrer Concierge teams can assist you in gathering the correct documents and letting you know what to expect when you arrive.

Travel Documentation

  • Passport validity
Ensure passport validity of a minimum of 6 months and above for international travel.
  • Visa application
Please check with your respective embassy should you need to apply for an entry visa into Singapore.

Medical Documentation

  • Medical reports
Bring a hard copy of all medical reports that you have provided to specialists clinic and any new reports that you have gathered since then.
  • Diagnostic imaging results
Bring the films and/or CD ROMs (DICOM compatible) of any diagnostic testing results relevant to your diagnosis (CT scan, MRI, PET scan, ultrasound, mammogram, X-ray, etc.).

Travel & Lodging

  • Co-locating with the One Farrer Hotel (OFH) on the same property means your family can be with you at all times. At the same time, you can be discharged to OFH to recover, making it more convenient for you to obtain follow-up care.

Dress for Comfort

  • Singapore is located near the equator and has a tropical climate, with abundant rainfall and high humidity throughout the year. However, the medical facility is air-conditioned. It can be chilly at times, so bring a sweater or dress in light layers for comfort.
