Our 24-Hour Medical Urgency Clinic (MUC) delivers accessible, round-the-clock care for urgent medical conditions throughout the year.

You have immediate access to on-site diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, and a panel of over 280 specialist doctors across various specialities — all within the same integrated complex and available around the clock. Facilities include consultation rooms, an observation bay, critical care facilities, and dedicated procedure, dressing, and isolation rooms. 

We also offer specialised facilities for eye and ear examinations and minor orthopedic procedures, with bedside registration available for added convenience.

Located at Level 2, our clinic is designed to provide seamless access to essential services while minimising transit time.

What We Treat

Our medical team is trained to assess and manage a wide range of urgent conditions, from sudden injuries to acute illnesses that need prompt attention.

Cardiac and Respiratory
Chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations

Abdominal and Digestive
Severe abdominal pain, appendicitis, gallstones, kidney stones, nausea and vomiting

Infections and Fever
Persistent high fever, dengue fever, cold and flu, urinary tract infection (UTI), sore eyes

Injuries and Wounds
Deep cuts and bruises, wound infection, sports injuries, mild burns and scalds, insect bites and stings

Other Conditions
Port a cath wounds and catether displacement, severe headaches, vertigo, acute gout, allergies, nosebleeds

When You Arrive

Our medical team will assess your condition to determine the level of urgency for your treatment.

You will be seen immediately if your condition requires critical treatment, otherwise waiting time will vary depending on the severity of your condition and the number of patients ahead of you. While all patients are important to us, patients with the most urgent needs will be attended to first.

Registration outside of our Medical Urgency Clinic is available for patients who are unable to walk or have mobility issues requiring the need for wheelchairs.

Patients who are under the care of specialists pracitising at our Medical Centre should inform our counter staff of the name of their specialist.

Should you require admission for further treatment after assessment, our medical team will assist to assign a specialist to you. Please inform us if you wish to be attended to by your preferred specialist practising with us. 

We accept local and international insurance, as well as direct out-of-pocket payment. Please check with our admissions team regarding direct billing arrangements with your insurer.

Farrer Park Hospital is located directly above Farrer Park MRT Station (NE8) in the central region.

If you are driving, direct drop-off and parking is available at the hospital.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in at any time, day or night.

How long do I have to wait?
The average waiting time to see a doctor is approximately 30 - 50 minutes. Critical cases are seen immediately. Waiting times for non-critical conditions depend on severity and the number of patients ahead of you.

Can I see a specialist during my visit?
Yes. If your condition requires specialist input, our team can arrange an immediate specialist consultation with doctors from our panel of over 280 specialists across all major disciplines.

Is the MUC the same as a hospital A&E?
Our MUC handles urgent medical conditions that need prompt attention but may not require a full emergency department response. For life-threatening emergencies — suspected heart attack, loss of consciousness, major trauma — please call 995.

Is parking available?
Yes. Direct drop-off and parking is available at our hospital.
