Dr Ren Yong graduated from the Medical Faculty of the National University of Singapore in 2005. He developed a keen interest in Orthopedic Surgery from his time in medical school and wasted no time in embarking on his chosen field. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgical training in 2014 and began his career as a full-fledged Orthopedic Surgeon in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. That same year, he was awarded the Ministry of Health, Health Manpower Development Plan Fellowship. He spent his fellowship year away in Switzerland, where he was trained in advanced spinal surgery and pelvic trauma surgery. Having completed his training in Switzerland, he returned to serve as the Head of Orthopaedic Trauma at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, a position he held until 2019.
Dr Ren Yong is well versed in a range of general Orthopedic procedures, as well as minimally invasive procedures and trauma surgery. He has a particular focus on treating traumatic injuries of both the upper and lower limbs.
