Dr. Vyas M. N. Prasad is a Otolaryngologist with extensive experience in head and neck surgery, laryngology, and general ENT (ear, nose, and throat) care. He obtained his medical degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1998, and went on to earn numerous prestigious qualifications including Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a Diploma in Laryngology and Otology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a Master of Science in Surgical Science from Imperial College London. He later received his Certificate of Completion of Training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the UK, and became an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Prasad has held several senior positions in both Singapore and the United Kingdom. In Singapore, he served as Consultant Otolaryngologist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital under the National University Health System and at Alexandra Hospital under JurongHealth Services. Internationally, he completed advanced clinical fellowships in Belgium and held consultant and specialist registrar posts at leading institutions in London including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and The Royal Marsden Hospital. His diverse clinical background has allowed him to manage complex ENT conditions across both paediatric and adult populations.
Dr. Prasad is also an active member of numerous professional bodies including the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the European Laryngology Society, the American Broncho-Esophageal Association, and the Asia-Pacific Laryngology Association. He remains fully licensed by both the Singapore Medical Council and the UK’s General Medical Council.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Prasad is deeply involved in medical education. He has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where he trained residents and medical students in head and neck surgery and laryngology. He was part of the senior residency training faculty at NUH and Ng Teng Fong Hospital and is currently a faculty member at Duke-NUS Medical School, where he teaches head and neck anatomy. During his time in the UK, he was actively involved in medical education across Oxford, Cambridge, and London universities, and trained ENT registrars at Barts and the London School of Medicine.
His specialty interests include ear surgery, nose surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, laryngeal surgery, voice surgery, tracheal surgery, thyroid and thyroglossal duct surgery.
