Dr. Dennis Ng Zhaowen

Biography

Dr. Dennis Ng is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a main interest in sports, shoulder and knee conditions, with extensive experience treating professional athletes. 

He was the Gold Medallist for the Orthopaedic FRCS Exam and completed subspecialty training under a MOH Scholarship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Centre, Ontario, Canada. 
Before moving on to private practice, he was Deputy Head of the Shoulder & Elbow Division and Sports Knee Division in National University Hospital. 

Minimally invasive techniques are used for better surgical outcomes and reduced downtime. Patients include national athletes for sports such as basketball, soccer, judo, rugby, rock climbing and cycling etc. 

Common conditions that he treats include: 

• Shoulder: Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, shoulder dislocation and instability, shoulder arthritis, upper limb fractures 
• Elbow: Tennis elbow, elbow fracture, elbow sports injuries 
• Knee: Cartilage injury, ligament tears (ACL), meniscus tears and knee arthritis 
• Ankle: Ankle sports injuries and ligament tears

Dr. Ng's specialty interests are minimally invasive techniques, and treatment of shoulder, knee and sports conditions.
