Dr. Bruce Ang Chia Liang is an orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of orthopedic experience.
He has performed more than 6000 orthopaedic surgeries and more than 1500 knee surgeries. He has particular expertise in Knee, Hip, and Shoulder conditions and he sub-specialises in Minimally Invasive treatment of joint conditions, joint replacements, and fractures.
Dr. Ang treats his patients using a variety of non-surgical and surgical methods. His philosophy emphasizes individualising each Patient’s treatment method in order to achieve the best outcomes and meet the Patient’s expectations.
He is an expert in performing Key-Hole (Arthroscopic) surgeries of the Knee, Hip, Shoulder and Ankle to repair these joints. He has performed complex knee and hip joint replacements for patients up to 90 years old.
Besides clinical work, Dr Ang conducts workshops for General Practitioners, and conducts public and corporate talks, and hosts regional doctors on learning trips to Singapore.
Dr. Ang graduated from the National University of Singapore. He has worked at Singapore General Hospital, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in UK and was a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association. He has published widely and has authored numerous chapters on Knee Replacements and Knee Arthroscopy.
Dr. Ang was a National Junior Squash player and has represented Singapore in competitions in India and Hong Kong.
Dr. Ang's specialty interests are joint reconstruction, sports orthopedics, fracture surgery.
