Dr. John Law is a consultant respiratory physician and intensivist from The Respiratory Practice. He is well-versed in common respiratory conditions such as chronic cough, lung infection and lung cancer and has special interests in COPD and asthma. His other area of interest is intensive care medicine and he is experienced with management of complex ICU cases. Prior to private practice, he worked as a consultant at the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Changi General Hospital.
Dr. Law graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia in 2002 and obtained the MRCP (UK) in 2008. He then went on to specialty training in Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine and was accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board as a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine. He had received numerous awards from Singhealth in recognition of his outstanding performance during specialty training. He was awarded Singhealth Best Medical Officer Award in 2007, 2009 and Singhealth Best Registrar Award in 2010, 2011.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Law is also a passionate teacher. He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine and Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He was also core faculty member in the Singhealth Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Law is currently a Board Member of the Respiratory Chapter at the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr. Law's specialty interests are asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and management of complex ICU cases.
