The Cardiovascular Suite is equipped with the most current angiography equipment that can perform cardiovascular procedures and surgeries. It is also equipped with leading-edge imaging equipment with coned beam computed tomography for diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as:
The most common type of heart disease, CAD occurs when the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart become narrowed or blocked due to plaque buildup. It can lead to chest pain (angina), heart attacks, and heart failure.
These are irregular heart rhythms caused by problems with the heart’s electrical system. Common types include atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, and tachycardia. Some arrhythmias can increase the risk of stroke or sudden cardiac arrest.
This occurs when one or more of the heart’s valves don’t function properly, leading to issues like stenosis (narrowing), regurgitation (leaking), or prolapse. It can affect blood flow and heart efficiency.
A condition where narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs, usually the legs. PAD increases the risk of heart attack and stroke and is often linked to atherosclerosis.
Conditions affecting the aorta, the main artery from the heart, such as an aortic aneurysm (a bulge in the artery wall), which can be life-threatening if it ruptures.
A group of conditions that affect blood flow to the brain, most commonly leading to strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), or brain aneurysms.
In addition to these capabilities, we have hybrid facilities that combine surgical set-ups with medical imaging angiography to support minimally invasive and emergency surgeries. Patients undergoing major surgeries are well monitored in intensive care and close monitoring rooms that are within close proximity.
A key feature of the Cardiovascular Suite is the Close Monitoring Unit, a dedicated space designed to ensure patient safety and comfort following cardiovascular procedures. Functioning as a day ward, this unit allows for continuous observation by trained medical staff during the critical recovery period.
Patients can rest in a calm and well-equipped environment while their vital signs and overall condition are closely monitored to ensure a smooth and stable recovery before discharge. The unit enhances continuity of care by bridging the transition from procedure to post-operative recovery, offering reassurance to both patients and their families.
