Dr. Yvonne Wong, a Consultant Anesthesiologist, specializes in the perioperative care of major surgeries for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), geriatric anesthesia, and onco-anesthesia. She believes that anesthesiologists play a leading role in perioperative care and contribute significantly to patient safety and outcomes.
She graduated from Monash University, Melbourne (MBBS) and obtained her anesthesia fellowship from Australia and New Zealand College of Anesthetists (FANZCA) in 2016. During her specialist training years, she was appointed Chief Resident to participate in the 4th Singapore Chief Residency Program under the Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH) Healthcare Leadership College.
The program imparted in Dr. Wong’s valuable leadership skills and set the foundation for the values and ethos she practices as a clinician. As Chief Resident, she also completed the Quality Improvement Project on expediting emergency elderly surgery.
