Dr. Melvin Liew is a registered Specialist with the Singapore Dental Council as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and practises a diverse range of oral & maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Liew obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2009. He was subsequently awarded the NUHS Academic Medicine Development Award in 2012 and went on to earn his Master of Dental Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2015.
During his time in the public sector, he served as a Consultant at both the National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. In 2022, he was appointed Head of the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore from 2015 to 2024, teaching numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Dr. Liew's specialty interests include dental implants, sinus lift and bone grafting surgery, orthognathic surgery and the removal of impacted teeth.
