Dr. Jean Ho Chin Ching is a dermatologist with Jean Ho Skin and Laser Clinic.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore. Upon receiving the Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), and Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine (Singapore), she completed the Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre. She is Fellow of the Academy of Medicine for Dermatology. Dr. Jean Ho has a special interest in the field of Paediatric Dermatology.
Her research fields include atopic dermatitis and genetic skin diseases, with key areas in epidermolysis bullosa and congenital ichthyosis. In 2006, she was awarded Best Research Paper at the Dermatology Update Meeting for her paper on autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis, in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, National University of Singapore. In 2008, the study on Filaggrin mutations in atopic dermatitis in collaboration with the Institute of Molecular Biology, A*Star, culminated in the landmark research publication in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. She received the National Healthcare Group Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is co-author in the textbook Paediatric Skin of Colour.
Dr. Ho’s practice encompasses all aspects of medical dermatology, paediatric dermatology, procedural dermatology including lasers and cutaneous surgery.
