This CME session explores the evaluation and management of soft tissue tumours, ranging from benign lumps to high-grade sarcomas. Case examples will illustrate diagnostic evaluation, operative strategies and the integration of radiation therapy/ medical oncology to enhance local control, minimize recurrence, and improve functional outcomes. Common pitfalls in diagnosis and management will be discussed to optimize patient-centered care in soft tissue tumours.

Dr. Gurpal Singh
Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Gurpal Singh is a board-accredited, fellowship-trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon, who has subspecialized in tumours of the musculoskeletal system. His skills and knowledge in the wide range of areas within the field of orthopaedic surgery were recognized with the inaugural College of Surgeons Gold Medal for being the top candidate in the professional FRCSEd (Orth) examination.
Awarded the Ministry of Health Scholarship for advanced specialty training, Dr. Gurpal Singh has spent two years in Germany (University of Münster, Münster, working with Professor Georg Gosheger and Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, working with Professor Christoph H. Lohmann) to expand his expertise in complex joint replacement surgery and orthopaedic oncology.
As a firm believer in continuous medical education, Dr. Gurpal Singh regularly conducts and attends conferences and seminars related to bone and soft tissue tumours locally and overseas.
In addition, he established a one-year fellowship program in musculoskeletal oncology to train post-graduate orthopaedic surgeons, who are committed to academic medicine. He has trained numerous local doctors and international fellows from India, Pakistan, Philippines and Europe. Dr. Gurpal Singh has published extensively in the field of orthopaedic oncology and joint replacement surgery in per-reviewed high-ranking orthopaedic journals.
