Biography

Dr. Robert Lo is a gastroenterology specialist with more than 2 decades of experience. 

Dr. Lo graduated from the University of Ireland in 1998.  After which, he undertook postgraduate specialist training in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology in the United Kingdom. This also included a year at the renowned Birmingham Liver Unit, where he honed his skills in managing complex liver diseases and attained his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2010.  

He is a general gastroenterologist with special clinical interests in liver diseases. He is skilful in performing screening, diagnostics, and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy, including polyp removal and hemostatic procedures. He also performs video capsule endoscopy.  

Dr. Lo is a passionate teacher and was an Adjunct Assistant Professor, as well as the gastrointestinal clinical module lead at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He was also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). Over the years, Dr. Lo has trained many young specialists as a Core Clinical Faculty member with the NHG Gastroenterology Residency Program. 

Additionally, he is a member of the Royal College of Physicians UK (MRCP UK), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (FRCP Edin), and a Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (FEBGH). He was conferred the Doctor of Medicine (MD) doctorate degree by the University of Leicester for his research work in liver medicine.

Dr. Lo's specialty interests are liver diseases, general gastroenterology, and colon cancer screening.
