  • To be competent in handling all cardiac perfusions and related procedures, such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), IABP, Ventricular Assist Device monitoring and management, etc.
  • To be responsible for the set-up, upkeep and maintenance of equipment, and consumables in the Pump Room.
  • To be responsible for proper documentation and update of records and statistics as required.
  • To take ownership in the preparation of policies & procedures related to the department.
  • To contribute and participate in the training of the systems and interfacing requirements of the the equipment used with the Hospital Information system.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Biology / Chemistry or relevant Science Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • For the Senior Perfusionist position, the candidate must be able to train and coach junior Perfusionist.
  • Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous and attention to details and able to maintain constant alertness and make quick decisions.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
