Neurology

What is Neurology?

Neurology is a medical specialty that deals with the anatomy, functions, and disorders of nerves and the nervous system which includes the brain, the spinal cord, and the nerves.

Neurological disorders can have a debilitating effect to an individual, causing loss of memory function and affecting a person's ability to perform day-to-day activities.

Non-invasive imaging procedures are used to diagnose neurological disorders. Some of the procedures includes coronary angiography, ultrasound and different type of scans such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) scans to assist in detecting irregularities in the brain. Medications, physical therapy, surgery and rehabilitation are other forms of treatment available.

We are always happy to help.
