In the area of medical defense, he has appeared before the Singapore Medical Council Disciplinary Tribunal, civil courts of all levels and the Coroner’s Court.

He is well versed and proficient in all kinds of procedures across various specialties including neurological, vascular, oncology, head and neck, chest, hepatobiliary, gastro-intestinal, musculoskeletal, uro-renal and genital systems.
 


Dr. Vina Doshi  Consultant Geriatric Physician 

Dr. Vina Doshi is a strong proponent of community-based care for the elderly. She formed AgeWell ARTSZ Medical Group Pte Ltd in 2010 to set up several community based services for the elderly. Her interests are in the geriatric syndromes (acute confusion, dementia, falls, incontinence) as well as in geriatric rehabilitation and day rehabilitation services and heart failure in the elderly. One of her passions now in community based elderly care is in management of dementia (especially the behavioural aspects), nutrition in the elderly and most importantly, support and education for the caregivers.
 


Dr. Kelvin Wong  Cardiologist 

Dr. Kelvin Wong is experienced in treating patients with cardiac arrhythmia and competent in performing device implantations (pacemaker, defibrillator) and complex ablations for arrhythmia. He was instrumental in helping to develop the Electrophysiology service at Changi General Hospital. He helped set up specialised clinics such as the Inherited Cardiac Conditions clinic and the Atrial Fibrillation clinic.

Abstract
The talk will cover the common cardiology emergencies, including hypertensive emergency, myocardial infarction, syncope secondary to brady- and tachy-arrhythmia.

Dr. Simon Chong  Urologist

Dr. Simon Chong is trained in procedures such as penile prosthesis implantation, various surgical techniques for Peyronie’s disease, phalloplasty and organ-preserving procedures for penile cancer. He is actively involved in Men’s Health and Andrology in Singapore where he has organized and lectured in GP and public forums, international conferences as well as practical courses for doctors. He is also actively involved in academia as well.


Dr. Joy Chan  Ophthalmologist

Dr. Joy Chan is a skilled cataract surgeon and has vast experience with a broad range of cataract surgery techniques and new technology such as femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and computer-guided toric intraocular lens implantation. She has published extensively on a wide range of research topics, which include novel surgical techniques for treating eyelid laxity, novel Ophthalmic imaging techniques and rare eye conditions.

Abstract
"Ocular emergencies can be intimidating for the non-Ophthalmologist. In this talk, common sight-threatening emergencies will be discussed, to better equip the non-Ophthalmologist to recognise and initiate management for such patients."


Dr. Paul Mok  Otorhinolaryngologist

Dr. Paul Mok's main subspecialty interests are in voice, swallowing and obstructive sleep apnea, he also manages patients with general ENT conditions such as nasal allergies and sinus conditions, hearing loss, giddiness and diseases of the th​yroid​ and salivary glands. 
 


Dr. Asok Kurup  Infectious Diseases Consultant

Dr. Asok Kurup has over 85 scientific publications and abstracts to his credit in peer-reviewed and is a regular reviewer of numerous professional and scientific publications. He continues to present his abstracts at major infectious diseases related scientific meetings locally and in the region. He also does community outreach and relief work and was at the forefront of infectious diseases outbreaks including the H1N1 pandemic, the Nipah virus outbreak and SARS pandemic.

Abstract
"The world has been and continues to be unsettled by COVID-19, but other infectious agents continue to pose challenges in various syndromes to primary care and emergency clinicians. This talk will take on a case based format to highlight some syndromes that is relevant to practice."
