Dr. Chia Kok Hoong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1986. He obtained his FRCS (Edinburgh) in 1991 and completed his general surgery training in 1995. In 1996, he embarked on advanced training in vascular surgery at SGH. He was awarded the HMDP Fellowship Award and spent a year in 1999 at Monash University in Australia where he trained in endovascular surgery and renal transplantation.
With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Chia brings to the table a broad base of surgical skills required for basic procedures and complex tasks. Besides dealing with complex vascular conditions and performing kidney transplants, Dr. Chia is experienced in the treatment of colorectal diseases such as internal hemorrhoids , external hemorrhoids , polyps, rectal cancers, colon cancers etc. He has also collaborated with consultant colleagues in the medical fields of orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, and oncology.
Dr. Chia is an experienced general surgeon with special interests in vascular, cancer and transplant surgery.He is adept at treating conditions such as varicose veins, renal artery diseases, aortic aneurysms and blood clotting disorders. He has also provided emergency treatment for ruptured aneurysms and cases of vascular injury and trauma.
Dr. Chia's specialty interest is vascular cancer and transplant surgery.
