Since the COVID-19 pandemic struck in early 2019, many lives have unfortunately been claimed. While most people recovered after some time, there were others who suffered serious complications. COVID-19-related deaths due to heart muscle inflammation, heart failure or heart attacks were also reported around the world1. Moreover, patients with pre-existing heart diseases were also reported to be at higher risks of complications2. Another area some may be concern about would be the potential complications and side effects of COVID-19 vaccines have on the heart.

Join us in this talk as our speakers address these issues and share insights on COVID-19 and our heart. Get advice from our expert on how to maintain a healthy heart, as well as how to detect heart diseases early and stay resilient during the pandemic.

Our Speakers

 

Dr. Ong Sea Hing
Cardiologist

Dr. Ong Sea Hing is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician in private practice, as well as a visiting consultant in National Heart Centre. His area of subspecialty is in coronary artery angioplasty and stenting with a keen interest in complex coronary interventions. He also performs structural heart interventions in particular transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Dr. Ong’s career spans more than 20 years. He graduated from University Malaya in 2000, topping his class in year 3 and has been working in Singapore since graduation. He was accredited a specialist Cardiologist in 2008. Subsequently he spent a year at the renowned Siegburg Heart Centre in Germany training in coronary and structural heart interventions.

 

Ms. Sherelyn Lee
Financial Services Consultant, AIA

Sherelyn has more than 5 years of experience in the Financial Industry. She has been passionate in promoting personal finance literacy among young adults and developing a holistic approach towards comprehensive needs-based planning. She specialises in risk mitigation and curating high yield portfolio for personal financial wealth accumulation.
