Mr. Melvin See

Mr. Melvin See has a broad range of experience including employment, corporate and shareholder disputes, and insolvency matters. He also frequently advises doctors and healthcare institutions on regulatory matters and claims by patients. In the area of medical defense, he has appeared before the Singapore Medical Council Disciplinary Tribunal, civil courts of all levels and the Coroner’s Court.

Recently, Mr. See successfully represented a prominent plastic surgeon in securing a complete acquittal of all five charges brought against him. He also successfully made representations to the Singapore Medical Council, leading to the withdrawal of all five charges brought against a senior general surgeon and anesthetist on the eve of the disciplinary hearing.

Mr. See is a Senior Mediator on the Law Society Mediation Scheme Panel of Mediators accredited by both the Singapore Mediation Centre and Singapore International Mediation Institute. He is also a member of the Inquiry Panel of the Law Society of Singapore that reviews and enquires into complaints against lawyers, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Professional Conduct.
