Minding the Red Flags

As much as we all hope the after-cancer journey would be smooth, reality is that it will not be a bed of roses. It is important to note the red flags in your after-cancer journey. For instance, feeling lonely, overwhelmed or isolated at work for prolonged periods are signs that you need additional help to adjust back to the working life.

When this happens, you are strongly encouraged to reach out to your cancer support team for advice. Another preventive move you could take is to join a cancer support group, where a safe and closed community is available to offer knowledge sharing and practical tips on how you can cope with and after the disease.
