Cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the world, and cases are still reported daily.

Visitors and patients visiting our hospital will be asked about their recent travel and contact history to assess the risk to the disease. Please inform our staff, if you had:

  • Visited any of the areas requiring heightened vigilance1 as listed on the Healthcare Professionals Portal: https://www.moh.gov.sg/hpp/all-healthcare-professionalsOR
  • Any close contact2 with recent travelers who have returned to Singapore in the last 14 daysOR
  • Close contact2 with perrson on quarantine, stay-home notice or leave-of-absence within the last 14 days; OR
  • Close contact2 with a case of COVID-19 infection

1Refers to affected areas with high disease load or high connectivity to Singapore. As of March 19, 2020, these are: Mainland China, Republic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Iran. Please check the Healthcare Professionals Portal regularly for updates. 

2Close contact is defined as:

  • Having provided care for the person or patient
  • Staying in the same place (e.g. home) as the contact person or patient
  • Having been close (< 2 meters) for > 30 mins with contact person or patient

The information you provide is important in managing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The Infectious Diseases Act requires a person who has reason to suspect that he is a case or carrier of COVID-19, or has had contact with a person with COVID-19, to act in a responsible manner to not expose other persons to the risk of infection by the disease.
