What is Neuroradiology?

Neuroradiology is a subspecialty of radiology focusing on the diagnosis and characterization of disorders and abnormalities of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, head and neck using neuroimaging techniques.

What Neuroradiology tests are available?

Disorders of the brain, head and neck can be diagnosed with a variety of imaging techniques:

• CT scan​ of the brain, neck and paranasal sinuses
• CT Angiogram of the neck arteries​
• MRI stroke screen
• MRI of the brain, orbits, salivary glands and neck
• Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid lumps
• Ultrasound​ of thyroid gland and neck lumps​
