Diabetic Retinopathy

What is Diabetic Retinopathy?

Diabetic retinopathy is an eye disease caused by diabetes and affects the retina, which is the nerve layer that lines the back of the eye. The retina is responsible for sending visual images to the brain. Diabetic retinopathy can lead to blurry vision, which progresses to blindness when left untreated.
